And regardless of whether you’re just starting your journey with the Polish language or you want to expand your knowledge, you’ll always find a group at the right level for you. During the lessons, under the guidance of experienced and friendly teachers, you’ll develop the key language skills necessary for effective and fluent communication in Polish. What does learning Polish online look like?
Online Polish Semester – Practical Course Information
Learning Polish online shouldn’t cause you any difficulties or take up too much of your time – for a regular online Polish course, you’ll only need to log in twice a week for 90 minutes. One online semester lasts 4 months (you can find the course dates below) – enough time to really get comfortable with the language and start using it in everyday life. You can also choose a one-year Polish course and sign up right away for three semesters.And if you’re interested in studying only on Saturdays, you can take advantage of our weekend semester course. In the Polish Semester Online course, we use the “Hurra! Po Polsku” textbooks and workbooks, tailored to the appropriate language level. Students at levels B2 and C, however, work with original materials prepared by our teachers. The materials are available both in print and online – you can choose the format that suits you best, or even use both at the same time if you prefer.

In class we speak, teach and think in Polish. Our students come from all over the world and Polish is often the only common language of all students. The communicative method of teaching mobilizes the participants of the online Polish language course not only to speak, but also to think in a language other than their native one. All Varia School teachers also speak English, so if the need arises, some issues or organizational matters can be explained in English. Recordings of the lessons are available in the student’s panel for re-listening for two weeks after the class. A semester-long online Polish course is more than just regular lessons. In addition to your classes, you’ll have access to thematic workshops and conversation meetings, where you can practice Polish in real-life situations and talk with people from different parts of the world.

Do I have to have my camera turned on during online Polish language lessons at the VARIA School?
It's not mandatory, but it definitely makes interaction during the classes easier and more enjoyable 😊
From which countries do students studying at the VARIA School most often come?
At VARIA School we have students from all over the world :)! We have had students from over 90 countries. Most people come from Europe, from countries neighboring Poland, but increasingly also from other continents, sometimes from very distant corners of the world.
What is the average number of people in a group during a Polish language course at the VARIA school?
A group usually consists of 8-10 students. The minimum number of people in a group is 5, the maximum is 14.
What lectures and workshops are organized during the semester course in Polish at the VARIA online School?
Lectures and workshops at the VARIA School cover various aspects of Polish language and culture. These include pronunciation workshops where you will learn how to correctly pronounce the "rustling" consonants in Polish, practice your accent and proper intonation. We will also invite you to slang workshops where you will learn a lot of useful and "current" words from everyday language. You will also have the opportunity to participate in travel, film, or Polish "savoir vivre" workshops 😊. Of course, all our lecture and workshop proposals are free of charge and participation in them is voluntary.
What language are lessons conducted at VARIA School?
All lessons at the VARIA School, including those at the beginner level, are held in Polish. This method produces results surprisingly quickly - which greatly increases students' motivation. From the very first lesson, our students get used not only to communicating in Polish, but also to thinking in Polish. And if you are afraid that you might not understand something during the lesson, trust our teachers who know perfectly well what methods to use to effectively convey knowledge of the Polish language even to beginners.
Is there a lot of speaking in the online semester course at VARIA School?
In teaching Polish at the VARIA School, communication is the most important thing. We want the vocabulary and grammatical structures learned to be primarily functional, and students on the online Polish language course to have many opportunities for free conversation.
