Summer with Varia! Full of people and good energy!

They also explored Krakow and its surroundings, and spent time in a wonderfully close-knit, international group. Here are some small statistics:

• Over the entire summer, a record number of 350 students from 35 countries visited us!
• Among all the students, women made up 52% and men 48%.
• The largest groups of students came from Germany (58 people), Ukraine (49 people), and the USA (21 people). We were also visited by students from, among others, Malta, Slovenia, Hungary, China, Morocco, Israel, Australia, Latvia, Sweden, Japan, Argentina, and El Salvador…
• During 8 sessions, we conducted approximately 2,000 Polish lessons!
• During the culinary workshops, we made (and ate :)) over 1,000 pierogi!
• At the karaoke parties, we sang about 100 songs (in maaaany languages of the world…).
• Most students studied at level A1.1 (about 30%). However, there were also students at level C1 (about 8%) and a student at level… C2 (Congratulations, Tatiana!).
• The most persistent student spent with us as many as… 8 weeks. (Well done, Sebastian!) 🙂
• In a day, our students spent on average: 7 hours sleeping, 6 hours learning Polish (although we heard rumors of higher numbers :)), 5 hours sightseeing in Krakow, 2 hours tasting delicious Polish cuisine, 2 hours enjoying sweet relaxation by the Vistula or in a café garden, and 2 hours practicing Polish conversation over a self-ordered beer or tea ;).
